Hugo-title 2

Martin Scorsese's love letter to movie-making is thematically rich, technically brilliant and visually stunning

looking-out-at-paris 2

Thematically rich and technically brilliant (as one expects from Scorsese), it incorporates a brief but delightful history of early cinema and utilises many of the tropes and techniques from those old movies.

Visually stunning even in 2-D; that it won five Oscars (Cinematography, Art Direction, Sound x 2, VFX) is a good indication.  The opening shot alone is a masterpiece.

Ideal for all ages – accessible to juniors and plenty for seniors.
